Smoking Can Cause Arteriosclerosis Disease

The relationship between cigarette with blood vessels. Smoking is the main cause arteriosclerosis, the thickening and hardening of the arteries (arteriosclerosis). Arteriosclerosis make the blood vessels lose elasticity and the canal narrows blood vessels. Process that occurs throughout the body.

Arteriosclerosis can end up with a blockage caused by blood clots that clog blood vessels (thrombosis), or it may happen aneurysm (widening of blood hunters like pouch). Blockage can occur suddenly when a blood clot carried by the flow off (emboli) that can clog anywhere, maybe in the lungs or brain.

Women who smoke and use oral contraceptives (containing estrogen) have the possibility to suffer from blood clotting in the venous vessels (DVT) and about 10% of them will experience a pulmonary embolism. Of the 100 patients who suffer from circulatory disorders of the lower limbs (Arteriosclerosis obliterans) of about 99 people were smokers.

There are 4 levels of impaired arteriosclerosis obliterans, namely:
• Level I: asymptomatic
• Level II: leg pain during exercise, for example, runs more than 200 m (II a) and less than 200 m (II b), arising keluhanya means intermittently disappear when the rest (claudication Intermittens).
• Level III: complaints generally occur at rest and at night when the legs elevated.
• Level IV: tissue death (necrosis or ganrene), in this stage is only possible measure of amputation (cut). If a blockage occurs in the aorta branching would cause abdominal pain in the waist area also include the onset of erectile disorder.

The entire vascular disease is painful. The relationship between cigarette with the digestive tract in the stomach and intestines 12 fingers, is a balance between spending stomach acid can interfere with power protection. Smoking increases stomach acid and intestinal ulcers there was 12 fingers (gastro-duodenal ulcers). Smokers suffer two times higher than non-smokers.
